It serves a wide range of clients, including DAX 40 and Fortune 500 companies. Key service areas include international tax, tax technology, private company services, R&D incentives, M&A, transfer pricing, indirect tax (VAT and customs), global employer services, and financial services tax.
During the research period, the firm supported a high-profile, multi-country transaction for a major German tech firm, advising on complex tax structuring and Day One Readiness, including real estate-related tax risks and mitigation strategies. In addition, the team assisted advised a major client on a strategic, multi-jurisdictional corporate reorganization from a legal entity to a branch structure over three years, covering corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing, accounting, valuation, and legal/employment law aspects.

Deloitte’s German tax practice currently includes 80 tax partners and more than 400 certified German tax advisers, making it one of the largest tax departments in Germany. In addition, the firm is active in domestic corporate tax, indirect taxation, tax disputes and transfer pricing.
The group recently advised Advent on tax guidance during a public voluntary takeover offer, including tax due diligence and tax structuring assistance. The team also worked with Blackstone Real Estate Partners and Blackstone's Core+ strategy to recapitalise Mileway, a pan-European last mile logistics company.
Several new partners joined the business during the research period, including Susanne Hemme, Daniel Kai Fischer, Oliver Gunkel, Tillmann Pyszka and Wolfram Kubot. Timo Hillebrand also joined the team in 2023.
