International firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett has announced the addition of an experienced new partner to the firm's New York practice.
Russell Light joins the firm from Kirkland & Ellis, where he had been for more than 15 years and served in both its New York and Chicago offices.
He brings with him almost 20 years' experience of advising on the tax aspects of M&A, buyouts, private equity investments and fund formation matters.
