HMRC has confirmed it has appointed a new individual to lead its digital and information offering .
Daljit Rehal joins the regulator having spent nearly nine years at Centrica as its global digital and data services director, and previously held senior positions with TalkTalk and Virgin Media. He replaces interim director Mark Denney.
His work is focused on modernising digital capabilities and adopting big data, artificial intelligence and machine learning technologies.
