Giuliana Polacco has joined the Milan office of international firm Bird & Bird as senior counsel. She previously spent a total of 25 years at Baker McKenzie, eventually becoming a local partner.
She has been recognised by World Tax as a Highly Regarded practitioner for both Indirect Tax and Tax Controversy. World Tax has also included her in its Woman in Tax listings.
She will join a team of five other practitioners, including fellow senior counsel Susanna Scapigliati and partner Gaetano Salvioli, who leads the Italian tax practice at the firm.
